In early 2009, I embarked on that common journey of attempting to polish and publish my first novel. The internet has been an invaluable tool in my writing endeavor, and I now find that I’m ready to move onto the next step.
The Watcher’s Daughter, an urban fantasy novel, is finally complete.
It’s been an amazing journey so far, and I’ve learned more than I ever thought possible in such a short time.
Yeah, yeah, but who are you?
I’m Courtney Johnson, writer, young business owner and geek. In my day-life, I run a technical consulting company across three states. By night, I’m a laptop-toating, code-scribing geek and writer. Equally comfortable behind a terminal and a chapter outline, writing is my first love.
Since terrible attempts at short stories as a kid (I have fuzzy memories of a story about a sock gone missing) to later attempts at poetry and short novellas, I’ve run the gamut of writing. My true love, in both reading and writing, is the novel. I absorb them by osmosis, and love cheesy sci-fi as much as good, old-fashioned lit.
Welcome to my crazy world, please stick to the path outlined. We can’t be held accountable for what happens when you don’t keep your arms inside the ride.
